Rajasthan Royals were in the driving seat of the match from the moment their opening pair of Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal entered the pitch to bat on as they together built an opening stand of 155 runs for the Royals before Devdutt Padikkal got LBW by Khaleel Ahmed. Rajasthan was not in a mood to put the breaks on their innings as the skipper Sanju Samson scored 46 runs in just 19 balls guiding his team to a total of 222/2 till the end of 20 over.

Later on in the game, Delhi had a pretty good start with their destructive pair of Prithvi Shaw and David Warner before Warner lost his wicket to Prasidh Krishna scoring 28 runs in 14 deliveries and Delhi was on 43/1 but due to lack of support from the middle order, Delhi got restricted to 207/8 till the end of 20 overs, the skipper Rishabh Pant, Lalit Yadav and Powell were the only 3 batters who were trying to keep Delhi alive in the game.

Delhi required 36 runs in the final over, while Rovman Powell was on strike and struck 3 huge sixes in the first 3 balls of Obed McCoy, then a controversial decision was made by the umpire on a probable above waist no-ball, which probably took the momentum away from Delhi leading to their loss but Who knows we could have witnessed something unthinkable! Kudos! to Prasidh Krishna as well for bowling a wicket maiden 19th over was crucial in sealing the deal for the Royals.

Brief Scores: Rajasthan Royals: 222 for 2 in 20 overs (Jos Buttler 116, Devdutt Padikkal 54, Sanju Samson 46 not out; Khaleel Ahmed 1/47, Mustafizur Rahman 1/43) defeated Delhi Capitals: 207/8 (Rishabh Pant 44; Prasidh Krishna 3/22) by 15 runs.
