Krunal Pandya top-scored for Lucknow Super Giants as he fired 42 runs from his bat in just 28 deliveries but lack of support from the other end lead Lucknow to a defeat at the end as they were restricted to 163/8. Lucknow’s Skipper KL Rahul was looking in a very good touch scoring 30 runs in 24 balls before Harshal Patel took a DRS which made the umpire change the original decision to OUT. Marcus Stoinis lost his wicket in a frustrating manner scoring 24 runs in 15 balls to Josh Hazelwood. Hazelwood lead RCB’s bowling department as he registered 4 wickets in his tally.

Earlier in the match, Bangalore was struggling as they were 7-2 losing Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli but at a very crucial moment. Faf Du Plessis the leader stepped up and scored 96 runs, missing out on his century by 4 runs. Glen Maxwell played a cameo scoring 23 in just 11 balls which guided Bangalore to a total of 181/6 on the board. Jason holder bagged 2 wickets for Lucknow and was the most successful bowler for the losing side.
