Kolkata’s skipper Shreyas Iyer played a brilliant inning of 85 runs in just 51 balls before losing his wicket to Yuzi Chahal and later on Chahal went off picking up 3 more wickets in the very same over which basically turned the momentum of the whole match in Rajasthan’s favor. Umesh Yadav kept some hopes alive with his 2 huge sixes and a boundary but wasn’t enough to pull off a victory for the Knights. Aaron Finch also scored a firing 58 in just 28 balls after Narine got run out off the very first ball of Kolkata’s batting innings without even facing a ball.

Yuzi Chahal’s fiver came at a very crucial stage of the match which change the whole scenario of the game by dismissing Shreyas Iyer, Pat Cummins, Mavi, and Venkatesh Iyer in the same over while Ravi Ashwin dismissed Andre ‘The Giant’ Russell on a golden duck.

Earlier in the match, Jos Buttler scored his second century of the 2022 TATA IPL season scoring 103 in just 61 balls. Other than him, the skipper Sanju Samson scored 38 in 19 balls and Shimron Hetmyer scored 26 in just 13 balls to take Rajasthan’s scoreboard to 217/5. Narine was the most economical and successful bowler for the Knights as he ended with the figures 2/21.
