IPL-2022, Match 19, DC vs KKR Highlights: Delhi Capitals gave a clinical performance to beat the current table toppers and the last season’s runner-up, Kolkata Knight Riders by 44 runs in the 19th match of the TATA IPL 2022 season.
DC was invited to bat first, Prithvi Shaw (51 off 29 balls) and David Warner (61 off 45 balls) gave a dream start for their team by scoring brilliant half-centuries as Delhi Capitals were able to post a huge target on the board of 215 for 5 for Kolkata Knight Riders to chase on.
In reply, the KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer smashed a brilliant 33-ball 54 before getting stumped out to former KKR spinner Kuldeep Yadav but in spite of a good partnership between the skipper and Nitish Rana, the knights got bowled out for 171 in 19.4 overs, even the big hitters such as Russell and Pat Cummins couldn’t live up to the expectations this time, unfortunately.
The spin-pace duo of Kuldeep Yadav (4/35) and Khaleel Ahmed (3/25) shared seven wickets between them, while Shardul Thakur (2/30) and Lalit Yadav (1/8) also grabbed the remaining ones. While from the KKR bowling department Sunil Narine was the best with figures of 2 for 21.
