On Wednesday 22 June, the ICC released the latest rankings. Talking about the T20 batting rankings, Indian batsman Ishan has gained a place in it. The youngster, who finished seventh last week with 689 points, has improved a place to the sixth position with 703 points. During the T20 series against South Africa, Ishan scored 206 runs at an average of 41. He scored a total of 2 half-centuries with the biggest innings of 76 runs. He finished first in terms of scoring the most runs in the series. On the other hand, Karthik has jumped 23 places to be at 87th position.
“In the latest T20 batsmen’s ranking, the name of Pakistan’s batsmen is at number one and number two. Captain Babar Azam (818 points) is first and Mohammad Rizwan (794) is at number two. South Africa’s Aidan Markram is in third place (757). It is followed by England’s David Malan (728), while Australia’s captain Aaron Finch (716) is at number five. India’s Ishan has reached the sixth position with 703 points.”
New Zealand’s Dwayne Kanway has moved up from sixth to seventh with the loss of one place. Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nishanka is at number eight with 661 points. The 9th place is held by Rasi Van Der Dusen of South Africa with 658 points, while the 10th position is held by New Zealand’s Martin Guptill.
