Wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik, who returned to the Indian cricket team, is being considered a contender to play the T20 World Cup. As a match finisher, he was given a place in the team by the selectors and now he is going to be seen captaining during the warm match.

According to the information, India has to play two warm-up matches before the series of three T20 matches against England in which he will be the captain.

The Indian team has to play in the T20 series and then the ODI after the only Test being played in Birmingham against England. On Thursday, the selectors announced the squad for both the series. From 7 July, the three-match T20 series will be played. It is starting. Before this, India has to go into the warm match on Friday 1 July and Monday 3 July. The first match is against Derbyshire and the second match is against Northampton.

Dinesh Karthik will be the captain

Hardik Pandya was made the captain of the T20 team for the Ireland series. India have to play an important series against England, so that Hardik can be rested in the first warm-up match. According to the information, Dinesh Karthik can be given the command of the team in these matches in his place. Rohit Sharma is not part of the Test team due to being found corona infected, he will return from the T20 series.

India has to play the first T20 match on July 7. This will be followed by the second and third matches on July 9 and then on July 10. The first match of the ODI series is to be played on July 12. The second match between the two teams on July 14 and 17. then there will be a third match.
