Virat Kohli, the former captain and senior batsman of the Indian cricket team, is going through a bad form these days. Kohli was not a part of the Indian team that toured West Indies and now speculations are rife about his future.

His performance in T20I International cricket in the year 2022 has been very poor. Apart from this, he has not scored any century since the year 2019 and the wait for his 71st international century is increasing.

Kohli’s poor run rate in T20I cricket is turning out to be fatal for him as several young players with better hitting are vying for a place in the playing XI with good performances in recent times. Amid rising concerns over Virat Kohli’s form and his inclusion in Team India’s squad for the Asia Cup 2022, West Indies legend Brian Lara has come to the rescue of the former India captain.

Lara said that I respect Virat Kohli as a player, but you see, he is going to come out as a better player than this. He must be learning a lot at the moment and you just can’t push him out.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma, who is heading the Indian cricket team after Virat Kohli, has had exceptional performance as a captain, but his form as a batsman has also not been special.

Since IPL 2022, Rohit Sharma has scored only two half-centuries so far. Like Kohli, Lara also shared his views on Rohit Sharma’s batting and poor form and called him an ‘unbelievable’ player. Lara said that Rohit Sharma is an incredible player. I think a lot of Indian players are very aggressive and Rohit is a wonderful player.
