The poor form of former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli remains a cause of concern at the moment. Everywhere these days in the cricket world, talks are being done about him.

After the England tour, the selectors decided to give Virat a break. His name was not included in the team selected for the first West Indies and then Zimbabwe series. BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal says that what is happening to Kohli has happened to Indian legends Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly before.

Dhumal while talking with senior sports journalist Vimal said, “We never think about all these things. It is the fans’ passion for the game that drives them to talk about such things and such discussions.” When you get attached with emotions, then you speak all these things. Today even social media which is a platform where you can speak anything. People here without speaking their heart. Speak freely without any restrictions.

Virat had taken the decision to step down from T20I and Test captaincy while he was dropped from ODIs. Rohit was made the captain of all three formats. Dhumal said, “We saw something similar with Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev too. After that, the same thing happened with Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar.”

The talk on social media goes to such an extent that most people are take it for granted.
