Pakistan has announced its team for the Asia Cup to be held later this month in the hosting of Sri Lanka Cricket.

The name of the 15-member team was announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board on Wednesday. The tournament, which runs from 27 August to 11 September, is to be organized in the UAE. Pakistan will face India in the Asia Cup on August 28.

On Wednesday, Pakistan announced their squad for the ICC World Cup Super League and Asia Cup with the Netherlands. Fast bowler Naseem Shah was replaced by Hasan Ali in the ODIs and Asia Cup T20I to be played against the Netherlands from 16 to 21 August. Both have been included in the team. Salman Ali who toured England for the ODI series in 2021, is back in the team. Shaheen Afridi has managed to make a place in both the ODIS and T20I squads. From rehab after injury. Fitness training of this passing bowler is going on.

Pakistan have named Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed and Usman Qadir in place of Abdullah Shafid, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali, Zahid Mehboob in the ODI and Asia Cup T20I squads.
