Afghanistan Cricket board on Monday announced the squad for the upcoming tour of Bangladesh.
Afghanistan dropped their senior members from the T20 squad for the series against Bangladesh. They were also the part of the T20 World Cup squad held last year.
Explosive opener Mohammad Shahzad, all rounder Gulbadin Naib, pacer Hamid Hassan and batsman Hashmatullah Shahidi were dropped after Afghanistan won just two of their five matches in the World Cup last year.
From the ODI squad, Sharafuddin Ashraf and Usman Ghani are been excluded while Ibrahim Zadran get the call up for the national team. Afghanistan recently beat Netherlands in a ODI series in Doha last month. Naveen ul Haq will not be available due to some reasons.
The three ODIs are scheduled for 23, 25 and 28 February . All the matches will played in Dhaka. While the T20I matches will be played on March 3 and 5 in Chattogram.
Mohammad Nabi has been named as the captain of the side for the T20I series while Hashmatullah Shahidi will lead the side in ODIs.
